The Greenstock Lamp Company has just published a 120 page colour brochure covering its entire range of LED lighting products, including its U-Connect plug and play system.

The comprehensive range of quality products covers many different types of LED lamps, tubes and shatterproof tubes, LED strip and tape all the way through to LED luminaires such as high performance LED flat panels, highbays, floodlights and non-corrosive fittings.

With huge growth in low voltage 12V and 24V LED products, a significant part of the new catalogue is devoted to the LED strip and LED tape.  This LED lighting solution is appropriate to so many markets and industries through its simplicity in installation.  Typical applications are for illumination in the point of sale industry, the sign industry and the caravan and vehicle manufacturers.  The products also lend themselves to architectural and interior design specification such as in retail, kitchens, bathrooms, and in property development.

PLUG & PLAY LED LIGHTING A GREAT SUCCESS

U-connect cables, extension leads, splitters, power supplies and lighting components are easily and simply connected together to create a full LED lighting scheme.  It is a perfect plug and play system with huge versatility for all types of lighting schemes.

No electrical experience is required, no soldering or wiring is necessary as the system is pre-wired with mains plug and connectors to run on 12V DC.  This means that not only is the system safe but that it can have almost limitless applications from lighting in the home, kitchen cabinet lighting, and fireplace lighting through to professional shopfitting and commercial installations.  The 12V power also means that the system lends itself to leisure applications such as use on boats and in caravans and in mobile homes where its low current consumption means that batteries won’t be drained.

There is a huge choice of LED lighting options from strip kits to downlighters.  The LED strips are really versatile in that they can bend to follow the contour of rooms and spaces for stunning lighting effects.  They are available in 5 metre reels with either 60 or 120 LEDs per metre, in a range of 3000k, 4000k and 6000k, a full range of single colours and also RGB.  For weatherproof applications, the LED strip kits can be specified as IP65 if required.

Where LED strips are required to be enclosed, Greenstock offers two styles of aluminium profile which not only protects the LEDs from damage but also increases their life as the aluminium acts as a heat sink.  These profiles are capped with a diffuser to soften the light and reduce spotting.  The diffusers come in clear, frosted and opal and there are a variety of accessories such as mounting brackets and end caps available.  There is also an extensive range of drivers available for the LED products starting from as little as 6w for very small installations through to 350w drivers for the more professional applications.  All of the Greenstock drivers are available to use with the plug and play system.

RGB and single colour controllers are also available to create different lighting effects and to enable dimming of the LED strips. All controllers are easy to operate, have an ultra slim design and will automatically memorise the last setting before ‘power off’.

GREENSTOCK FIRST WITH INEXPENSIVE IEC STANDARD SHATTERPROOF FLUORESCENT LAMPS

The Greenstock lamp company has launched a first in the shatterproof market of affordable IEC standard T5 and T8 shatterproof fluorescent tubes.

Companies that need the glass retention of shatterproof lamps in their industry now have the assurance of IEC standard lamps at the same price as non-compliant lamps being offered elsewhere in the market.

The EcoCoat shatterproof tubes from Greenstock are fully approved following IEC testing.  Greenstock is able to supply a copy of the independent Certificate of Conformity and Drop Test results, which other shatterproof lamp companies are often unable to do, as some of their lamps are not compliant with the IEC standard.

With the introduction of the new EcoCoat shatterproof fluorescent tubes, Greenstock now has two products for the shatterproof market.  The new entry level IEC standard EcoCoat, and the top of the range IEC standard FEP shatterproof lamps.  IEC 61549 is the highest standard to which shatterproof lamps can be coated and provides the benchmark of quality assurance and the production standards of lamps supplied.  Whilst not yet a legal requirement, the standard sets ‘Best Practice’ within the industry and has been introduced through BSI / IEC with input from the LCA (Lamp Coaters Association) of which Greenstock is a founder member.

Shatterproof tubes are now widely used within food manufacturing, preparation and a number of different industry environments where the shatterproof coating on the lamps prevent glass contamination should the lamps break, which is often during handling and routine maintenance.

The EcoCoat shatterproof coatings are applied at Greenstock using specialist machinery and strict quality control procedures ensuring the highest quality finishes.  EcoCoat lamps are suitable for use in all hazardous areas and food associated applications, being approved for use in the food industry to HACCP regulations.  The lamps can be used in either open or enclosed (IP65) fittings and are identified by a single green band around one end of the fluorescent tube.

Greenstock’s new range of T5 and T8 EcoCoat shatterproof tubes come in a full range of wattage ratings from 8W to 70W and are available in the four colours of Warm White, Standard White, Cool White and Daylight.  These shatterproof lamps have an average rated life of 16,000 hours, the eco coating lasting as long as the lamp.

LED LIGHT PANELS LAST 10 YEARS AND SAVE 40% ENERGY

High performance LED lighting panels are the latest addition to the Greenstock range and can provide 40 per cent energy savings over their 10 year lifetime.

The new LED flat panels are the ideal replacement for the less efficient traditional fluorescent fittings, commonly seen in modular suspended ceilings.  They are the perfect solution for offices, hospitals, schools and many other applications.

The 600mm x 600mm LED light panel from Greenstock is a 36W unit providing a light output of 2700 lumens, equivalent to the traditional fluorescent light fitting that it replaces, yet the LED panel does not flicker and starts instantly providing an even light distribution.

Designed as a replacement for existing fluorescent fittings, the LED panels are easy to install and are supplied with remote driver and inline connectors for rapid installation.

One of Greenstock’s customers, OrderWise has recently installed 74 LED light panels at its Lincoln offices.  Replacing the existing 4 x 18W fluorescent fittings, the energy per fitting has reduced from 79.2W to 36.6W to gain an annual energy saving of £1,864.  The payback period is just two years and the savings across the 10-year lifetime of the panels is some £13,460.  David Hallam, managing director of OrderWise, commented, ‘We are delighted with the energy savings achieved with the new LED lighting and now that the LED panels are completely maintenance free, we will also benefit from no future maintenance or disruption as before with changing fluorescent tubes”.

Greenstock’s LED light panels are an ultra slim design with high quality surround to give a clean integrated look.  As well as the 600 x 600 LED panel, Greenstock also offers a 1200 x 600 LED panel producing 3600 lumens and rated at 54W.  Both panels have a rated life of 50,000 hours equivalent to around ten years of normal daily usage, and the panels are available in warm white, cool white and daylight colour temperatures.

Supplied with a five year warranty from Greenstock as standard, dimmable and emergency versions of the LED panels are also available.
