TROLEX APPOINTS ACCUTRON INSTRUMENTS INC. AS CANADIAN MINING DISTRIBUTOR

Trolex, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of gas detection and environmental monitoring systems, has just appointed Accutron Instruments Inc as its new mining distribution partner in Canada.  This follows the distribution agreement only recently set up in December 2012, for Strata Worldwide to handle Trolex products in the Us market and is part of the Trolex global distribution strategy.

Trolex65 Accutron lowresAccutron Instruments Inc. is located in Sudbury Ontario Canada and is a worldwide leader in Mine Ventilation Monitoring products and services.  It will now be able to offer Trolex systems for replacement or upgrading of existing monitoring systems underground, as well as integrating with Accutron systems to provide a more complete mine environmental monitoring system.  Installation and maintenance on the systems can be performed by general plant maintenance personnel which provides low recurring operation costs.  Accutron will, however, offer customers full technical and application service packages and will also assist with installation, commissioning, service and support as required.

Commenting on the new partnership, Trolex Managing Director Glyn Pierce-Jones said, “This is an excellent alliance between our two companies and we are delighted to be working with Accutron. Strata’s subsidiary in South Africa, SP Mine Safety SA (Pty) Ltd is located an hour outside Johannesburg.  It will now be able to offer Trolex systems for replacement or upgrading of existing monitoring systems underground, as well as integrating with Strata wireless networks to provide continuous data retrieval.  Installation and maintenance on the systems can be performed by general plant maintenance personnel which provides low recurring operation costs.  Strata will, however, offer customers full technical and application service packages and will also assist with installation, commissioning, service and support as required.

“It is a real honour to be selected as SME Manufacturer of the Year, we were up against five other worthy competitors” said Glyn Pierce-Jones, Managing Director of Trolex, “Winning this award has put Trolex’s hard work in the spotlight –highlighting its success to our colleagues, suppliers and customers.”

The Manufacturer of the Year Awards is specifically designed to acknowledge and celebrate the strength and diversity of UK manufacturing. The awards aim to spread best practice, inspire others and show the important role UK manufacturing plays in today’s economy.

With over 700 people in attendance, and entries from the likes of Ford, Coca-Cola, Caterpillar and Rolls Royce, The Manufacturer of the Year Awards 2012, held at London’s Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, was its biggest yet.
